互联网与社交媒体的普及使在线影评成为观众表达情感态度与文化认知的重要载体。对影评文本进行情感分析与主题挖掘,有助于揭示影视作品在跨文化传播中的接受机制与情绪反应特征。本研究以动画电影《哪吒之魔童闹海》为研究对象,以海外影评平台信箱(Letterboxd)为数据来源,运用Python爬虫技术进行数据采集与清洗,共获取有效影评样本2,933条。研究采用TexB tlob情感分析工具量化情感倾向,运用LDA主题模型提取核心关注议题,并结合具体影评文本进行质性解读。研究结果显示:海外观众整体情感态度以积极为主,主要关注点聚焦于视觉呈现、角色塑造与情感共鸣;少数负面评价集中于叙事节奏、语言转译及文化理解障碍等方面。研究发现,情感共鸣在一定程度上能够缓解文化折扣效应,使观众得以通过普世情感认同影片的核心价值,从而促进跨文化接受与文化认同建构。基于此,本研究认为中国动画在国际传播中应强化情感叙事策略与文化转译机制,构建兼具艺术感染力与文化可读性的传播路径,以提升中国动画的全球影响力与文化认同度。
Abstract:With the proliferation of the Internet and social media, online film reviews have become a crucial medium through which audiences express emotional attitudes and cultural perceptions. Conducting sentiment and topic mining on review texts helps reveal the reception mechanisms and emotional response patterns of audiovisual works in cross-cultural communication. This paper takes the animated film Ne Zha 2 as its research subject, utilizing Letterboxd, an overseas film review platform, as the data source. Through Python-based web scraping and data cleaning techniques, a total of 2,933 valid English-language reviews were collected. The study employs the TexB tlob sentiment analysis tool to quantify emotional tendencies, applies the Latent Dirichlet Allocation(LDA) topic model to extract core thematic concerns, and integrates qualitative interpretation of specific review texts. The results reveal that overseas audiences' overall sentiment toward the film is predominantly positive, with primary attention focused on visual spectacle, character development, and emotional resonance. Negative comments are concentrated on narrative pacing, language translation, and cultural comprehension barriers. The findings indicate that emotional resonance can mitigate the cultural discount effect to a certain extent, enabling audiences to identify with the film's core values through universal emotions, thereby facilitating cross-cultural acceptance and cultural identity construction. Based on these findings, it is suggested that the international dissemination of Chinese animation should strengthen emotional narrative strategies and cultural translation mechanisms, constructing communication pathways that integrate both artistic appeal and cultural accessibility to enhance the global influence and cultural recognition of Chinese animation.
